Kid's Fisheree

In the beginning of Summer, SCC always put on The Kid’s Fisheree. It’s basically a fishing contect for kids, and includes a lot of great prizes for almost all of them. It’s usually held on the third Saturday in June 22rd with a rain date of the following Saturday. Kids up to 14 years old can join in on the fun (and LOTS OF PRIZES)!

All entrants are divided into four age classes, and each class will be awarded a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize each for the biggest Pan fish, Rough fish and Game fish. (That’s a lot of prizes!)

1st place awards are rods and reels, 2nd place awards are tackle boxes, and 3rd place awards are fish nets or baskets. Registration opens at Division Street Park (near the Forton Street bridge) at 8:30 am, fishing from 9 to Noon. We usually run everything CATCH & RELEASE, so make sure your kids have a nice big bucket so their fish can swim in some water until they’re weighed and released. Final weigh-in is the Noon ending time. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded by 12:30.
