SCC Facilities

The Stoughton Conservation Club takes a great deal of pride in providing state of the art facilities for its members with continual improvements to better serve the member activities and interests.

Clubhouses
SCC has two main multi-purpose buildings. One building (The New Clubhouse) serves as the Indoor Archery range and Trap - Skeet club house and the second building (The Old Clubhouse) serves as the Indoor Pistol range and Outdoor Archery club house. The Clubhouses are where General Membership Meetings, Board Meetings, New-Member Orientations and activities like Hunter Safety, etc... take place.

Members may rent the Clubhouse(s) for their personal events. To reserve a club facility, fill out the facilities rental agreement and send it to the Buildings & Ground Chair, with the required rental fee. This should be done well in advance of the date you are requesting. Rental agreements can be found at either clubhouse or on the club website. Once the rental agreement and rental fee are received by the Buildings and Grounds Chair, it will be brought to the attention of the Board at a monthly Board meeting. If it does not conflict with any regular or scheduled Club events (see Event Calendar) and you are a member in good standing, the request will probably go through. The Buildings & Ground Chair will notify you and add it to the event calendar.

In the Main Rooms of each respective Clubhouse there are a few exhibit cases, displaying trophies, souvenirs, animal & fish mounts, as well as some memorabilia from The Clubs past, including is a collection of Club membership buttons going way back.

Indoor Archery Range
The Indoor Archery Range is a separate room in the New Clubhouse and hosts the Indoor Archery League, Youth Archery, and various Indoor Archery Tournament events, including the popular Tri-Star Tournament. The Archery Range has 20 lanes, two bow presses, a bow scale and paper tuning equipment for Club members use. It is open 24/7, unless a Club or private event is scheduled for its use, in which case it is closed. Check the Club Calendar prior to coming down to use the range.

Indoor Pistol Range
The Indoor Pistol Range is located in the 984 Collins Rd. Clubhouse and is host to the Pistol Leagues (.22 and Centerfire). We have 9 firing points with a retrievable target system and excellent lighting. It is open to Club members from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Pistol leagues are held in the evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays of the fall and winter months. Contact scc.rangemaster@gmail.com with any questions.

Jacketed bullets are now allowed in the Indoor Range with some exceptions see rules for details.

Outdoor Archery Ranges
For Outdoor Archery, there are three different shooting areas to accommodate member interest; a field tip range, a sand bunker range for the broadhead shooters and an Outdoor Woods Walk range with tree stands and stations to give archers a real life hunting experience. These ranges are located outside of the Old Clubhouse. The Woods Walk course also hosts all of the 3D-Shoots and Broadhead Archery tournaments that SCC hosts.

Rifle Range
SCC has three outdoor ranges which were recently improved for additional safety and comfort. There are 25, 50, 100 yard ranges. The ranges are designed for members to safely shoot their firearms and enjoy the shooting experience. The firearm range also hosts the Site-in Clinic SCC runs prior to the deer-gun season. Hours for the rifle range are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to Sunset; Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. These hours are strictly enforced. Ranges may be closed for improvements or other work details.

Trap and Skeet Facilities
SCC has four newly designed state of the art trap houses, two of which serve as combination trap/skeet fields. The trap/skeet fields are located outside the New Clubhouse and host the always popular the Trap and Skeet leagues. On most Sunday mornings there is open trap and skeet to offered to both members and non-members for a nominal fee. (Please check the event calendar).

Volunteers
SCC relies solely on member volunteers to maintain and improve the facilities we use. Please be respectful and clean up after yourselves as you use the various ranges and facilities. This is common sense but worth mentioning. While there isn’t a work requirement for club members, volunteers are always needed for various club events and activities. Please volunteer to help out. After all, it is your club! Thank You.

Remember, Be Safe and Enjoy Your time at the Club!
