Indoor Archery 300 League, Tuesday, Dec 15th 2009

Competitive archery could easily have started with a couple of stone-age archers (like maybe Larry, Bill or Don) with nothing better to do than to find out which of them could shoot the furthest.

The Indoor League test the archers’ skill, using a single or five spot target, shooting 60 arrows made up of three games of 20 for a possible 100 points per game. Striving for that 60x - 300.

The first night, December 15th at 6:30pm, will be an organizational and set-up meeting to discuss league rules and determine the 4-person teams. The scoring will start Tuesday January 5th and end Wednesday March 24th (12 Weeks). FUN NIGHT will be Tuesday March 30th. The banquet will be held on Saturday April 3rd.

Bill Rupp will be the chairmen and can be reached at 608-873-9166 if anyone has questions.

See you Tuesday Dec 15th at 6:30pm!

300 Indoor Archery League

300 Indoor Archery League usually begins on the first Tuesday in December at 7 pm, with an organizational meeting and set-up session. The league runs for 16 weeks and consists of 4-man teams. The league is held in Indoor Archery Range at the New Clubhouse.

Your team doesn’t have to shoot at the same time; any time from Tuesday evening or all day Wednesday will do, in case you have a conflicting work-shift or activity. The targets are 5-point bullseyes at 20 yards, or if you’re just starting out, I hear they let you use one big bullseye for all your shots. (As you improve, you’re going to want to go to separate bulls to keep from nicking up your own arrows with following shots.) Each session’s course of fire is 60 shots. Each “game” is 20 arrows for a possible 100 points, shot three times. If you want to get really good with your bow, this is the way to do it.
